Nai'a Liveaboard Dive Trips

Nai’a sets the benchmark for liveaboard diving luxury, offering unmatched comfort and service. Originally restored in 1993, and fully refitted in 2000 and 2010, Nai’a is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to cater to today’s discerning dive travelers. This spacious liveaboard accommodates up to 18 guests and provides all the amenities of a premium land-based resort—complete with hot showers, air-conditioned staterooms, and gourmet dining—but with the added bonus of world-class diving and breathtaking new vistas every day.

Designed for expeditionary comfort, Nai’a’s advanced sailing rig ensures stability and range, allowing access to remote dive sites with ease. The highly trained and hospitable Fijian crew, known for their kava-inspired music and impeccable service, ensure that every trip is flexible, fun, and unforgettable.

Fiji boasts one of the most dynamic coral reef systems in the world, with expansive barrier reefs teeming with marine life. Coral growth and vibrant fish populations flourish along these outer reefs, while the reef passages and channels attract diverse marine life. As many of these dive sites are in remote, uncharted areas, only well-equipped liveaboards like Nai’a can explore these pristine waters. Dive in the exclusive Nai’a Triangle—Lomaiviti, Namena, and Bligh Water—where you’ll encounter untouched reefs and an unparalleled underwater experience.

Itinerary

This is a sample itinerary for a 10 day trip. Itinerary is subject to change at the Captains discretion.

Day 1
Get picked up, either from Nadi International Airport or your hotel in Nadi, and be transferred by minivan in 30 minutes to Lautoka Harbour where Na’ia and its crew await your arrival. Once all the guests are on board, the liveaboard departs at around 1PM. Have lunch, then a check dive in the afternoon, followed by dinner.

Days 2-10
Your days start early, with the 1st dive at 07:00AM, but not until after waking up to cereals, toast and hot coffee. Don’t worry as there will be a bigger breakfast after your return from diving. The 2nd dive of the morning is then at 10:30AM.

The time spent underwater during the cruise in Fiji will be filled with pristine hard and soft corals, lots of sharks encounters, but also a paradise for critters lovers, featuring harlequin shrimps, frogfish and tons of nudibranchs. It’s not unusual to find some unnamed species as well: keep your eyes open or rely on your guide for new discoveries!

A well deserved buffet style lunch and some rest on the sun deck or in the airconditioned saloon, as you wait for the 3rd dive at 2:30PM. The 4th dive is usually a dusk dive, with divers ready to hit the water at around 5:30PM. Have a shower and relax while dinner is getting ready: the Na’ia chef uses only fresh local fish, fruits and vegetables to create new surprises and delicacies at every meal.

There will also a barbeque night that you won’t forget! Wine is also complimentary, just keep in mind that there will be a couple of night dives during the trip and therefore avoiding alcohol is necessary.

Day 11
Disembark from Na’ia in Lautoka at around 8:00AM and be transferred to either Nadi International Airport or to a local hotel of your choice.

Highlights

Fiji’s coral reef system is a complex web of barrier reefs surrounding large lagoons and islands.

Coral growth and fish action are most robust on those outer barrier reefs.

Marine life is especially concentrated within the reef passages and channels that link the lagoons with the deep ocean.

Much of the area remains uncharted and the dive sites untouched.

All this makes NAI’A dive sites in the NAI’A Triangle of Lomaiviti, Namena and Bligh Water largely exclusive.

You are extremely unlikely to encounter another dive boat during a NAI’A trip

Shark action, Manta Rays, great Macro life, and marine life

3 to 4 dives per day

Dive instructor and dive guides on board
